Were you too busy taking a nap like Donald Trump to follow this week’s news? Come with me as we slingshot around the sun1 for a quick recap of the week followed by a few articles I found interesting.
Monday: OMG! WWIII!! But actually…no. Biden stepped in and instead of doing something stupid in response, Netanyahu did the bare minimum necessary. Tensions are still high but no regional war at the moment. There’s a lot going on in this article and I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong about Mike Johnson.
Monday: Trump also fell asleep on Tuesday AND Friday. It’s important to note that the press just moved on from Trump’s inability to stay awake during the most important trial of his life. Weren’t they really concerned about the age and stamina of Joe Biden, like, 10 seconds ago?
Tuesday: Article of the week!2 The Press is really determined to downplay the threat of fascism. They need the excitement of Trump back in power and if that ends with another half a million Americans dead? Meh. Whatevs!
Fuck these privileged assholes.
Wednesday: House Republicans were already facing a steep uphill battle to hold control and now that we got a peek at their fundraising numbers? They have to feel the ground rumbling as the massive blue wave heads for shore. Might be why so many of them are quitting…
Wednesday Continued: You’d think this would be a bigger story. If we found out that Nikki Haley had a bunch of Democrats working for her telling people they wanted Biden to win, the press would blast it on the front page for weeks: Dems Use Haley To Undermine Trump!
But…crickets as we have direct confirmation of the Kennedy campaign as a giant ratfucking operation.
Thursday: I mean, wow. We all knew Trump “the billionaire” was desperate for money but…wow. One wonders if he suspects that after he loses in November, his ability to drain Republicans of money will dry up and he’s squeezing them for all he can while he still owns them.
Friday: A surprisingly uncontroversial opinion. I was expecting a LOT more pushback on this one but most of you appear to be on the same page: As long as he’s not lying or backstabbing and he’s putting country before party, Johnson is tolerable.

The Article of the Week is determined by you, the readers. The article with the most likes, comments, and restacks is top dog. Democracy in action!
There’s a lot more but I can only stuff so much in here, you know?
I don’t get any nerd points because I can’t remember but I recognize it. I missed yesterday’s on MAGA Mike but I can’t disagree. He’s the enemy you know. If he’s going to go down, at least he’ll give a nice parting shot at the Freedumb goons.
