I guess I understand it a little better now and maybe I’m closer to acceptance of anime now but I still feel like there’s a creepy part to sexualizing young girls. My niece is really into it. She’s 14 now but it’s been probably 5 years. I was hanging with her when she was 9 or 10 and she was singing along with a song that was something about that bitch keeping away from her boyfriend. I said do you hear those words? That’s not a real nice song and she just rolled her eyes at me. I guess my parents hated Stairway to Heaven so I should just let it go. Times are always evolving and they’re apparently stretching their creativity muscle so rock on.

Noooo... that's a huge problem with anime but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. Japan is not evolving as quickly as American media but it's evolving.

We have been attending San Diego Comic-Con every year for the last 25 years and a few other annual local cons like Monsterpalooza. So these last two episodes were great fun to listen to last week as we drove home from Hollywood. It has been our experience that there are few other large scale events that are quite as inclusive and safe as comic-book conventions and other genre related cons. It was fun to hear you two discuss DOA. I have never played the game but I fraking LOVE the movie. No one is exploited, no one really gets hurt, and it has Eric Mother Fucking Roberts as the villain. Its all rather silly but great fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qgn2UaZE8D0
