I’m sorry for the loss of your aunt, first to dementia and soon to life. We will welcome whatever venting you post and while I’d love to wish there won’t be any fuckwittery for you to write about, we all know better.

Safe travels.

“Fuck you, dementia.” Considering that I had lost my mother to a combination of this, & renal failure last month I agree with this sentiment.

Safe travels and best wishes as you say farewell. Hard as it may be, your family will be grateful to have you there. F*ck dementia indeed! My mom passed away two years ago, but we were saying goodbye to her for a long time before that. We were so lucky she stayed sweet and cheerful to the end. We’re having an exceptionally beautiful spring here in NC, so let that bring you a little joy if nothing else. Pay no mind to the legislative f*ckery afoot.

While the trip isn’t a happy one, take some time to enjoy your time in NC. It’s that glorious time when it can be 80 degrees one day with a frost warning the next. That window where the humidity doesn’t hit like a solid wall.
